A total of 69,098 devotees paid homage to Sri Venkateswara Swamy on Friday. Devotees paid Rs 3.56 crore as tribute to the deity.
TTD Additional Chief Executive Officer CH Venkaiah Chaudhary conducted extensive inspections in Tirumala earlier on Saturday.
Chaudhary inspected sheds and queues at Vaikuntham Queue Complex-2, Krishna Teja Circle and Narayangiri Gardens. He informed the devotees about the facilities provided by TTD. Devotees expressed joy and said the umma in the box was delicious.
Officials have been instructed to check the availability of drinking water, food and milk at the Vaikuntham queue area and specify the timings and food items to be provided to devotees on boards outside the carriages.
The TTD intends to monitor all compartments of the Vaikuntham Queue Complex (VQC) so that devotees can have darshan immediately. We have ordered better hygiene measures when devotees are sent for darshan from VQC compartments.
At Krishna Teja Circle, some private taxi and jeep drivers were observed parking their vehicles at the entrance, where devotees lined up to offer darshan. Taxi drivers are warned not to park at the location. TTD vigilance officials have been directed to hold talks with the local police to avoid such unauthorized parking in future.
TTD has taken special measures to ensure that devotees are not inconvenienced. Vaikuntham queue center provides milk, buttermilk, khichdi, upma, sambar rice, Perugannam, sundal to the devotees.
TTD will also issue session tokens for devotees at Srinivasam, Vishnu Nivasa and Govindaraja Swamy in Tirupati.
