Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday chaired a plenary meeting of the Council of Ministers, which focused on issues affecting women and timely implementation of various policy measures, sources said.

A focus of the meeting will be to promote new plans and policy decisions made since the government took office in June, including new infrastructure projects.
Government measures for the social sector also figured prominently at the meeting.
The heads of each department also introduced the progress of their respective departments’ 100-day agenda.
The NDA government continues to focus on infrastructure development and has sanctioned projects worth over Rs 2.3 lakh crore for building new railway lines, ports, airports and industrial smart cities to achieve the goal of Viksit Bharat by 2047.
