High temperatures will range from 95 to 100 degrees across the
area today. Humidity levels will remain fairly low, with heat
index values expected to peak from the upper 90s to low 100s.
Temperatures are forecast to be slightly cooler on Friday, mainly
in the mid 90s. However, humidity levels will be much higher
resulting in heat index values of 100 to 105. Scattered storms may
provide some relief during the afternoon on Friday.
Be sure to use caution if planning to be outdoors for long
stretches. Drink plenty of water, take frequent breaks, and wear
light colored and loose fitting clothing.
