Four people died in Palamu, two each in Giridih and Hazaribagh, one each at Jaguar Center in Ranchi, Mosabani and Sahebganj Center in East Simbhum
Eleven candidates died while undergoing medical examination during the recruitment process for tax police in Jharkhand, police said on Sunday.
The physical test for the Jharkhand Revenue Police Competitive Examination was conducted on August 22 at seven centers in Ranchi, Giridih, Hazaribagh, Palamu, East Singhbhum and Sahebganj districts start.
IG (Operations) Amol V Homkar said four people died in Palamu, two each in Giridih and Hazaribagh, Jaguar Center in Ranchi, Mosabani and Saheb in East Singhbhum One person died each in Ganj center.
He said a case of unnatural death has been registered and investigation is on.
He added that as of August 30, a total of 127,772 aspirants had taken the physical examination, of which 78,023 had passed.
Homkar said all centers ensured adequate arrangements including medical teams, medicines, ambulances, portable toilets and drinking water.
The youth wing of the BJP staged a demonstration against the JMM-led government at Ranchi's Albert Aika Chowk, claiming that the deaths were due to mismanagement by the authorities.
