A burqa-clad man on his way to a secret meeting with his girlfriend was caught with his macho gait by passers-by. When some of the men tried to pull at his burqa, they discovered a pistol-like weapon hidden under his waistband.
The incident took place in Pipalsana village in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh. Passersby on the road saw a man wearing a burqa walking quickly towards the town. They became suspicious and started following the stranger. They noticed his manly gait and stopped him in the market. Despite being challenged, he refused to take off his veil. Gradually, a group of people gathered around him and unveiled him.
Initially, people called him a child trafficker and asked for his Aadhaar card. However, the man said he did not bring it. As the situation escalated, some wanted to beat him, while others suggested handing him over to the police.
When people tried to pull him aside, they discovered what looked like a weapon hidden under his waistband. Someone in the crowd snatched what appeared to be an imported pistol, but it was later discovered to be a modified lighter.
Police arrived at the scene, detained the man in a burqa and began interrogating him. The man, Chand alias Bhoora, a resident of Akbarpur village, revealed that he came to Pipalsana wearing a burqa to meet his girlfriend without arousing suspicion and was not caught.
The case is currently under investigation. Police said they would take appropriate action against the man following investigation.
