Indian Coast Guard helicopter makes emergency landing near Gujarat (Representative: PTI)
On September 2, an Indian Coast Guard helicopter made an emergency landing near Gujarat while performing a rescue mission. Three crew members are still missing.
An Indian Coast Guard helicopter made an emergency landing in the Arabian Sea near the state of Gujarat on Monday night, after which its three crew members went missing.
The incident took place just after 11pm and one member was rescued.
The Coast Guard said it was an Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) that was tasked with evacuating an injured crew member from the motor tanker Hari Lira near Porbandar.
Rescue operations are underway to find the missing crew members.
The Coast Guard posted on social media platform
“The helicopter had to make an emergency landing at sea. One crew member has recovered and the search for the remaining three crew members is ongoing.
“ICG has deployed 04 ships and 02 aircraft for rescue operations,” the Indian Coast Guard post read.
