A yoga teacher was arrested on Sunday after being accused of rape by an NRI in Karnataka's Chikkamagaluru. In her complaint to police, the woman claimed the man raped her while claiming they had a relationship in a previous life.
The accused was identified as Pradeep Ullal, 54, who runs Kevala Foundation in Chikkamagaluru. The yoga teacher was arrested after reporting to police on Sunday that the woman had attended one of his online yoga classes.
The woman mentioned in her complaint that her family is from Punjab and has been living in California since 2000.

Talking about the case, a police officer said, “Ural was settled in Bengaluru and had earlier worked in Dubai. During his stay in Dubai, he is said to have started yoga classes there. He later returned to India in 2010 Purchased three acres of land and started yoga classes in Chikkamagaluru area.
The official further said Ural used to take people on trips to the Himalayas, bird watching and other activities. “His business is mainly online and he has many students,” he added.
