YouTuber Elvish Yadav (26) was subjected to extensive interrogation by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) at its Lucknow headquarters on Thursday, which lasted for around eight hours.
Inquiries covered a variety of topics including details of rave parties, the supply of snake venom and its sources.
ED officials questioned him about the places where snake venom was supplied at rave parties, organizers of such parties and individuals associated with Elvish Yadav. Boss OTT 2″ champion.
The ER also asked Yadav for his contact details, property, luxury vehicles and bank accounts, and seized his mobile phone for review.
During the investigation, officials examined all footage, videos, contacts and chats on Yadav's mobile phone. After more than eight hours of torture, Yadav left the emergency room headquarters.
In May this year, the investigating agency had filed a case against Yadav under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act for supplying snake venom at a rave party, considering the huge amount of money involved in the event.
The ED action was based on an FIR and chargesheet filed by the Gautam Buddh Nagar (Noida) district police, which arrested Yadav on March 17.
The arrest was in connection with an investigation into Yadav's alleged use of snake venom as a recreational drug at parties he hosted.
Yadav has been charged under various sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, the Wildlife Protection Act and the Indian Penal Code.
He was first named in an FIR registered at Noida's Sector 49 police station on November 3 last year following a complaint filed by the animal rights NGO Protect Animals (PFA).
The FIR also names five other accused, all snake charmers, who were arrested in November last year and were later granted bail by a local court.
On November 3, the five people were caught at a banquet hall in Noida and nine snakes, including five cobras, were rescued and 20 ml of suspected snake venom was seized.
