A government school teacher in Madhya Pradesh's Ratlam district has been suspended for cutting off a girl's hair in an inebriated state on Teachers' Day on Thursday, an official said.
District Collector Rajesh Batham said a criminal case would also be filed against teacher Veer Singh Medha for misconduct.
The action against Medha came after a viral video showed him cutting off a child's hair at a government primary school in Semalkhedi, about 40 km from the district headquarters, and subsequently getting into an argument with a villager.
Ranjana Singh, assistant commissioner of the tribal department, has ordered the suspension of Medhar, an official said.
