A Delhi court on Friday extended the custody of AAP MLA Amanatulah Khan by three days in a money laundering case.
Special Judge Vishal Gogne passed the order on an application filed by the central investigation agency, which had sought Khan's detention for another 10 days.
“The detention period was extended for three days. He will appear in court on September 9,” the judge said.
Khan was produced before the court on the expiry of four days of Enforcement Directorate custody obtained earlier.
The agency detained him under provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) on September 2 after raiding his residence in Okhla area of the national capital.
The ED told the court that Khan was asked a number of questions during the search but he remained “evasive” and was arrested.
