German government's attempt to fact-check Trump over green energy disaster fails
Kurt Zindulka
September 11, 2024As Germany seeks to defend its disastrous energy policies with a fact-checking response, former President Donald Trump used Berlin as a warning to the American public during his debate with Vice President Kamala Harris on Tuesday.
Trump urged American voters to reject the green agenda backed by Democrats and Harris, noting that even Germany had to backtrack on its stance. energy transition The transition is evidence of the reckless nature of the green agenda.
“You believe something that the American people don't believe,” Trump told Harris. “You believe in things like we're not going to break. We're not going to use fossil fuels,” she said, referring to her longstanding stance against fracking, which she has tried to change.
“Germany tried this, and within a year, they were back to building normal energy plants,” Trump continued. “We're not ready yet.”

It's hard to know where to start. If the German political class truly believes that their green energy achievements are a desirable success, they are delusional.

Starting from January this year;
I suspect Germany is still feeling the pain of President Trump shaming their green political class in 2018 when he correctly predicted that Germany’s dependence on Russian gas and failure to develop domestic fossil fuel resources would undermine their energy security.
The German political class laughed at Trump at the time. Climate-obsessed German bureaucrats still try to laugh despite government revenue. But no German who has to make a living in the real economy is laughing.
If Germany continues its green madness, the entire country will sink to Venezuelan levels of national poverty, or worse—except, of course, for privileged bureaucrats and politicians.
Some Germans are trying to fight back. Parties like the AFD performed very well in recent elections, although this may have more to do with the AFD's immigration policies than climate policy. But the AFD also categorically rejects climate action, seemingly making AFD Germany the best hope of reversing Germany's energy policy woes.
As for the dog-eating remarks, as far as I know, Trump has never accused Germans of eating dogs.
But Germany has a long cultural tradition of eating dog meat in difficult times. Until 1985, it can be recalled that Munich restaurants openly served dog meat from government-owned suppliers.
Fast forward to today and we see that millions of Germans (an estimated 45% of the population) are currently suffering from energy poverty and economic hardship, thanks to the failure of Germany’s green energy policies. It now appears that the coming mass layoffs may intensify the suffering of the German people.
Given this level of despair, anything seems possible.
