As the dire predictions of climate change alarmists repeatedly fail to come true, one would think that the media would stop reporting these claims as if they were “scientific fact.” [emphasis, links added]
one would think. However, like many climate alarmist industries, it's all about the money.
Since many of the leading climate fanatics are also among the richest people on the planet, much of the mainstream media continues to spread the word.
Still, people aren't convinced, so these billionaire activists are doubling down on their efforts.
Last year, two leading climate cult organizations, Solution Journalism Network and Covering Climate Now, sponsored the creation of a climate blueprint for media transformation.
Solutions Journalism Network is funded by the for-profit Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, the Ford Foundation, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the Hewlett Foundation, among others.
These organizations are investing vast fortunes in promoting climate change alarmism.
So, what is the climate blueprint? In short, this is a A 14-part guide designed to transform journalists into climate activists by teaching them how to report on climate change.
The blueprint’s opening section, “Every Story,” calls on journalists to weave climate alarmist narratives into everything they cover. From sports to the economy to crime, climate change must be front and center.
(Maybe you are thinking, Not yet?)
Kyle Pope, co-founder of Covering Climate Now, claims climate change has only started to be reported “only recently” and calls on journalists to change that and “tell the most important stories on earth”.
Prachi Singh, one of the editors of the blueprint said “Journalists need to stop chasing deadlines Make meaningful connections with “women, people of color, indigenous peoples, LGBTQIA+ communities” Let people realize the huge negative impact of the “climate crisis” on these minority groups.
In another section of the guide, investigative journalist Amy Westervelt calls on reporters to demonize the fossil fuel industry, identify universities that receive funding from the fossil fuel industry, and find “someone at the school who doesn’t like it very much.” “professors of this arrangement,” urging them to criticize the school for this.
The other part focuses on How journalists use language and instruct them not to refer negatively to climate activists.
For example, journalist Jennifer Oldham noted:
“Watch your language. Do you call an event a “demonstration”? Or “riot”? Words matter. Calling an encounter a 'violent encounter with police' criminalizes demonstrators without offering similar criticism of law enforcement's actions.
This is the lesson the left learned during the 2020 Black Lives Matter riots.
Please note that none of this involves scientific accuracy and the pursuit of truth. That’s why we call these climate alarmists a cult.
It's a religion to them. They believe that everything negative in the world is caused by climate change, which in turn is caused by humans—regardless of the actual science that questions their dogma.
They are not interested in debating the problem or finding workable solutions; instead, it is all about promoting climate alarmism and government-controlled “solutions.”
Ultimately, for these billionaire activists, it's about exerting greater control over society.
