If you thought former Secretary of State and former Biden “climate czar” John Kerry had reached the peak of his madness, you were wrong. [emphasis, links added]
At last week's World Economic Forum, Kerry responded to a question about climate “misinformation,” directly attacking the First Amendment:

“The disgust and anguish about social media is growing day by day. That's part of our problem when it comes to building consensus around any issue, especially in a democracy.
Governance today is just too difficult. You can't – the referees that we used to have to determine what is factual and what is not factual have been removed to some degree. People make their own choices about where to get news and information. Then you get into a vicious cycle.
Kerry believed the public was too stupid or too gullible to make their own decisions:
“If people only go to one sourcethe sources they went to were sick and, you know, had an agenda, They are spreading disinformation and our First Amendment is a major obstacle to its non-existence.“
Make no mistake. John Kerry and his allies believe that the “pathology” of “misinformation” is so serious that it must be stamped out.
It will be the government that decides what constitutes “misinformation” and who holds the hammer.
The First Amendment will bear the brunt of this.
