    Kamala Philadelphia Rally

Ecological activists are drafting an environmental policy wish list for a potential Harris administration, after Vice President Kamala Harris largely made her stance known throughout the presidential campaign, according to Bloomberg News. [emphasis, links added]

Harris, who supported a fracking ban and other hard-line climate positions while running for president in the 2020 election cycle, and her campaign have repeatedly tried to reassure voters that she has softened on energy issues and Despite the vice president's apparent change of policy, environmentalists have mostly refrained from pressuring or protesting her.

However, Green activists are currently laying out plans for a future Harris administration that include radical policies such as using emergency powers to effectively ban crude oil exports, According to Bloomberg.

some ecological activists Plans to limit liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports and end Dakota Access Pipeline It is also recommended that Harris use Special emergency powers to cut public financial support for fossil fuel infrastructure projects and enact a de facto oil export banAccording to Bloomberg.

Meanwhile, other environmentalists also want to see a future Harris administration Using the Department of Justice (DOJ) to hold oil companies accountable for climate changeAs has been done in many Democratic-run jurisdictions in recent years.

“We need more than platitudes,” said Colin Rees, a member of International Oil Change, according to Bloomberg. “We are looking for concrete commitments: a permanent halt to new LNG exports, a rejection of the disastrous Dakota Access Pipeline, and a phase-out of A clear plan to phase out fossil fuel production and end environmental injustice.”

Ecological activists are drafting policies for a potential Harris administration, pushing for a fracking ban, a ban on oil exports and aggressive climate measures.

Another wish list for some environmentalists is Expanded Inflation Reduction Act (IRA)According to Bloomberg, the climate bill signed by Biden could ultimately cost more than $1 trillion to promote the production and adoption of green technologies.

Doing so would include expanding existing subsidies and tax breaks or trying to reinstate provisions that were ultimately not included in the final bill.

Additionally, according to Bloomberg, attempts to secure “IRA 2.0” could also facilitate the creation of a de facto carbon tariff, which many energy industry experts describe as a gateway to a domestic carbon tax.

Environmentalists have pressured President Joe Biden and his top officials to make concessions throughout his term, but they have not made any meaningful moves since Harris replaced him as the Democratic nominee, according to Bloomberg. A concession of meaning.

Harris appears to be trying to maintain appeal to moderate votersespecially in energy-rich Pennsylvania, ahead of the election Doesn’t deny environmental activists who are more aligned with her on key policy issuesenergy industry experts and political experts previously told the Daily Caller News Foundation.
