President-elect Donald Trump has chosen former Rep. Lee Zeldin, R-N.Y., to lead the Environmental Protection Agency, both confirmed on Monday.
“It is an honor to join President Trump's Cabinet as EPA Administrator,” Zeldin wrote on X when the appointment was announced. “We will restore America’s energy dominance, revitalize our auto industry, bring American jobs, and make America a global leader in artificial intelligence. Zeldin is likely to take immediate action as the Trump administration seeks to roll back the Biden Environmental Protection Agency's strict rules on gas-powered vehicles and coal and natural gas power generation.
