As the enthusiasm for so-called green energy cools and “net zero” commitments to eliminate “carbon emissions” fade, we are seeing recognition of the benefits of CO2. [emphasis, links added]

That’s right: More and more people are beginning to realize that the gas—widely demonized as a pollutant that harms the planet by overheating—is a life-giving substance that needs to be used in large quantities.

American voters know that President-elect Donald Trump has declared the Green New Deal a “hoax” and promised to return common sense to environmental regulations and energy development. His return to office depends in part on that commitment.

German politicians, whose green cult has contributed to the recession, face serious electoral challenges in Europe.

Developing countries such as India are ignoring “decarbonization” commitments and actively developing coal mines and importing more fuel to stimulate growth and eradicate poverty.

Less reported are the stories of carbon dioxide emissions greening the planet and increasing crop yields.

The mission of the CO2 Alliance, which I lead, is to educate the public about the benefits of CO2. We sponsor speakers and publish science-based materials for adults and children.

Much information is available about the role of carbon dioxide in the environment as a beneficial greenhouse gas. Regulates temperature extremes between day and night temperatures and serves as food for photosynthetic plants.

“Fossil fuels are the greenest energy source” by Dr. Indur Goklany is an example of our work.

Did you know that 50% of the world has more vegetation, and 70% of greening is due to CO2 emissions from fossil fuels that fertilize plants?

or that Nearly 200,000 square kilometers of southern Sahara have been transformed from desert to lush grassland?

Few people have heard that if the concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere doubled from the current level of 420 ppm, Significantly improve agricultural productivity with less impact on the climate.

Canada appears to have learned some of this, as Alberta's ruling United Conservative Party (UCP) recently approved a resolution that Promote the beneficial impacts of CO2 and support the outright rejection of national governments’ net zero policies.

“It is estimated that (atmospheric) carbon dioxide levels need to be above 150 ppm (parts per million) to ensure the survival of plant life,” the party's final resolution proposal said.

“The planet needs more carbon dioxide to sustain life and increase plant production, both of which will contribute to the health and prosperity of all Albertans.”

UCP calls for abandoning CO2 designation as pollutant and Recognize that this gas is “the basic nutrient for all life on Earth.”

The UCP's action was not welcomed by online platforms for climate alarmists such as DeSmog, which called the party's resolution “a blatant denial of climate science and reminiscent of the fossil fuel industry playbook of the 1990s.”

Desmoger reports that the UCP considers the “notorious” CO2 Alliance as its source of information – much to our satisfaction.

Beyond political connections within the climate industry complex, The carbon footprint phobia of recent years poses a threat to everyone’s economic well-being. But this is a direct attack on a place like Alberta.

Perhaps second only to the Canadian Rockies, The western province's most notable natural resource is its vast oil sands deposits – the world's fourth-largest proven reserves of “black gold”.

Employing nearly 140,000 people and generating $17 billion in royalties, The oil industry is deeply valued by Albertans.

“The problem is that net-zero emissions have become shorthand for 'leave it in the ground,'” said Danielle Smith, Premier of Alberta. She plans to fight “the federal government and a coalition of extreme environmentalists who want to completely stop oil and gas production.”

It's a great day that we find ourselves on the side of those who are fighting for freedom because they Helps store carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, thereby enriching ecosystems and nurturing life.

To paraphrase Donald Trump: Let’s make CO2 great again.
