The Baltimore City Department of Transportation shared a post on social media platform X encouraging drivers to slow down, maintain a safe parking distance and use low beam headlights. The department said motorists should never use only parking or fog lights and should avoid using high beams.
The Baltimore City Public School System faced traffic delays on Tuesday morning due to foggy weather, according to a post posted by the Baltimore City Public School System on the 10th.
The fog forms when warm air flows over a cold surface and cools from below, and expands as low-level winds from the southwest intensify, according to the department. The high temperature on Tuesday is expected to be near 53, with a chance of rain after 1 p.m.
Temperatures continue to rise and are expected to reach a maximum of 59 degrees at night, with the chance of rainfall increasing to 100%. By 10 a.m. Wednesday, the high is expected to reach 61 degrees before cooling to the mid-50s. gust. A strong wind watch will be in effect over the waters from Wednesday morning into Wednesday night.
The sun is expected to come out again on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with temperatures near 40 degrees.
Temperatures will climb back to near 50 degrees on Sunday when the Ravens take on the Giants in New York, with the chance of rain increasing to 60 percent from the night before.
