At the request of the United Nations and its member governments, the United Nations' highest “court” will rule on the so-called legal “obligations” of governments in combating carbon dioxide emissions and so-called man-made “climate change.” [emphasis, links added]
Experts say it could be the most significant case the global agency has ever heard.
The Biden administration has joined governments around the world in asking the courts to take a tough stance on the issue. But critics are already sounding the alarm.
Agriculture, energy, transportation and other industries have all taken center stage, fueling fears of more government-mandated economic carnage in the future.
'The biggest case ever'
While the International Court of Justice (ICJ) ruling expected later this year is officially considered an “advisory” ruling, it will have far-reaching economic and political consequences around the world.
The United Nations called it “the largest ever case before the United Nations World Court.” Meanwhile, media propagandists described it as “a trial for the entire industrialized world.”
UN leaders expect governments and international organizations around the world to develop “climate” policies based on the controversial judicial body's findings.
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, a proud socialist, is one of many key figures touting the case's importance in the evolution of what they call the global “climate regime.”
Guterres said he encourages the United Nations General Assembly to ask the International Court of Justice to rule on this issue in 2023. “It is extremely important and can have a long-term impact on the international legal order.”
He went on to say that a ruling expected later this year would “assist the General Assembly, the United Nations and Member States Take the bolder, stronger climate action our world desperately needs.
“It can also guide the actions and behavior of countries in their relations with each other and in their treatment of their own citizens,” Guterres added. “This is important.”
Kangaroo Court
Long derided as a “kangaroo” court by critics, The Hague-based organization has many “judges” who are hostile to Western traditions of God-given rights, the rule of law and economic freedom.
Still, the risks are very high.
“This is probably the most important case in human history,” said Ralph Regenvanu, the special envoy for climate change and environment of the Republic of Vanuatu, whose government is ostensibly overseeing the case.
Speaking on the first day of oral hearings in court last month, Regenvanu outlined what the government was seeking in the ruling.
“We look forward to the courts recognizing that this behavior, which has caused enormous harm to our people and so many others, is unlawful, must stop and its consequences must be repaired,” he said.
strong ruling
A number of taxpayer-funded organizations have been lobbying the International Court of Justice to rule that governments have specific legal obligations to curb activities that produce emissions of carbon dioxide, the life-giving gas that everyone exhales, and other so-called greenhouse gases.
Those who refuse are threatened with unspecified “legal consequences.”
“The court’s opinion could send a strong message to states and other actors responsible for greenhouse gas emissions, underscoring the urgent need for deep, rapid and sustained emission reductions to achieve the goal of limiting warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius,” Conservation International The Union (ICUN) warns those who refuse.
Another group lobbying for a strong ruling went further. “The International Court of Justice’s clarification of climate change laws may Paving the way for countries to be taken to court if they fail to protect people and planet from climate crisis or for First create a crisis” claims the far-left Center for International Environmental Law, which proudly uses environmental law to achieve so-called “change.”
Threat to sovereignty
Critics of the entire process, however, are sounding alarm bells about the impact of the case.
It would be crazy to put the International Court of Justice in charge of determining the economic responsibility of states for climate change and what they must do to combat it.
talking New Americawarns ClimateDeport.com publisher Marc Morano and the pro-market environmental group Committee for a Constructive Tomorrow (CFACT) This is a major threat to sovereignty and freedom from globalists.
“It’s really crazy to put the International Court of Justice in charge of determining the economic responsibility of states for climate change and what measures they must take to combat it,” explained Morano, who is often attacked by the media as the world’s most powerful person. The person who “denies” this person.
“Globalists are puppeteering the International Court of Justice,” continued Morano, a former U.S. Senate staffer who has attended nearly every U.N. climate summit over the past two decades.
If it doesn’t stop, this is just the tip of the iceberg.
“The World Economic Forum has called on the International Court of Justice to prosecute the crime of 'ecocide' in Davos to prevent 'the massive destruction and destruction of nature,'” Morano added. “The whole goal of the Davos crowd is to turn you into a feudal serf, where your lord rules your life.”
In its submissions at a hearing on the case last month, the International Court of Justice stated Governments around the world plead with judges to crack down on so-called 'pollutant' carbon dioxide (Called life gas by serious scientists).
Ironically, major oil and gas producers have also lobbied for restrictions, perhaps hoping to reduce supply and raise prices.
Biden's support
Biden administration —Main proponent of destroying Western economies to “save the climate”— The 15 self-proclaimed judges of the “World Court” are urged to make a strong ruling outlining the so-called “responsibility” of governments on global warming.
“The United States recognizes that the climate crisis is one of the most serious challenges humanity has ever faced,” Margaret Taylor, Biden's special envoy and State Department legal counsel, said in court.
She failed to mention that surveys consistently show that a majority of U.S. adults outright reject the hypothesis of man-made global warming.
Still, the sky is falling and only significant government action at the international level will be enough to deal with the problem, Taylor continued.
“The causes are global and result from various human activities around the world that emit carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases, including 'superpollutants' like methane,” Biden State Department lawyers claimed. “Such activities include more than just burning Fossil fuels are used in energy production, but also in agriculture, deforestation and industrial processes.”
The US government is also open to the possibility of establishing a “new human right to a healthy environment” By “setting the established rules of international law,” Biden's envoy added.
This thinking reflects a “progressive” view Rights come from the government, not God, and the government can invent new “rights” at will that limit people's freedoms.
Taylor also made it clear that the Biden administration is firmly committed to supporting a series of questionable U.N. treaties, agreements, conventions and policies collectively known as the U.N. climate “regime.”
Still, the UN court's upcoming interpretation of the agreement that underpins the regime will play an important role in global policy.
