Baltimore City has issued an extreme heat warning from the weekend into the middle of next week, with temperatures expected to climb back up to 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
According to the National Weather Service, the weather will be sunny Saturday morning, with temperatures reaching 92 degrees in the afternoon and a heat index of 100 degrees. Meanwhile, a 20 percent chance of rain is forecast for Saturday night, mainly between 5 and 8 p.m.
However, expect things to heat up significantly from here on out. Baltimore City Health Commissioner Dr. Ihuoma Emenuga announced a “code red” extreme heat alert Sunday through Wednesday as temperatures will hover between the high 90s and low 100s.

Sunday is expected to be sunny and hot, with a maximum temperature of about 95 degrees and a heat index of over 101.
Temperatures are expected to climb above 100 degrees on Monday and Tuesday.
While Wednesday's high is expected to be near 97 degrees, bringing little relief, there's a 60 percent chance of storms Wednesday afternoon and night, but the chance rises to 70 percent, which could cause severe damage the rest of the week. Temperatures are dropping, with a high expected to reach 89 degrees.
