WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Storms continued across Kansas Tuesday night.
A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for counties in southwestern Kansas and parts of north-central/northwestern Kansas until 1 a.m. Wednesday.

Severe thunderstorms also occurred in northern Kansas earlier in the day. The storm issued multiple severe thunderstorm warnings and recorded wind gusts of 60 to 90 mph.

Monica Smith shared photos of storm damage at Lake Wilson with KSN News via email this morning. Her photos show an overturned camper van and a large fallen tree branch.
“We actually had two campers overturned at Lake Wilson. Thankfully, no one was hurt and no one was in the camper. We had several power poles down throughout the county, giving us road blockages and other things like that. question.
West of Hayes early Tuesday, the storm produced strong winds that downed tree branches and caused nearly 800 power outages. Midwest Energy reported that 168 facilities were still without power as of 10:30 a.m.
Elsewhere, storms swept across Iowa, Illinois (including Chicago) and Indiana on Monday, triggering multiple reports of tornadoes, downing trees and power poles and knocking out power to more than 460,000 customers and businesses.
