Wednesday evening update:
If it doesn’t rain today, it might rain over the weekend! There is a 70% chance of rain tomorrow, an 80% chance of rain on Friday and a 60% chance of rain through the weekend. These storms pop up in the late afternoon and continue into the evening. With these storms, please be careful of gusty winds, dangerous lightning, and flooding as much of the CSRA is under a minor flash flooding threat, with a few counties facing a minor threat tomorrow. Although it can cause damage, rainfall can also bring cooler temperatures. Tomorrow will be in the mid 90s like today but will drop into the low 90s as the weekend approaches. The heat index will drop into the 90s and break triple digits! Lows throughout the weekend and into next week will be in the mid-70s.
More scattered showers are expected next week.
