Good morning! Today is the day! Today will start off very wet, but the humidity will drop throughout the day.
Looking back on the past few days…yes, it was hot, but it wasn't officially a heat wave. The high temperature reached 91° on Monday and Tuesday, but it only hit 87° yesterday. We need three consecutive days of 90° temperatures to make it an official heat wave. Anyway, what made us more uncomfortable this time was the humidity.
Speaking of humidity, dew points have been in the mid-70s most of this week (and much of the past two weeks). Our dew points will start in the mid-70s today but will drop throughout the day. You will notice that the air is more comfortable in the afternoon and especially at night. The muggy gauge shows relatively low dew points all weekend before sneaking up again starting next week.
