UK weather forecast for August – Merseyside and other areas are now experiencing some warmer days after weeks of cold and unsettled weather. Temperatures in Liverpool are expected to rise to 24C today and 26C on Friday.
Unfortunately for those who prefer warmer days, the weather will turn sunny this weekend, with rain on Saturday and sunshine on Sunday, but with a high of 19C. Looking ahead to Monday, July 22, we are expecting significant rainfall through Wednesday, July 24.
In its long-term UK forecast, the Met Office predicts that overall conditions will change between July 22 and 31, similar to those seen so far in July. Experts say the timing of rainfall and sometimes more frequent downpours could affect all areas.
Looking ahead to August, the Met Office said there was a slight increase in the chance of the weather becoming more settled at times, particularly in the south. But other types of weather are still very likely.

Elsewhere, experts at AccuWeather are predicting a brief heatwave in August for Liverpool, with hot and sunny days expected from August 1 to 4. The maximum temperature during this period is set between 22°C and 25°C.
The forecast calls for some rainy days and varying weather conditions thereafter, but by Friday, August 16, the maximum temperature will be around 22 degrees Celsius.
