CHARLOTTE (Queen City News) – We’re looking cool at the end of the work week, but still stormy!
Temperatures are in the low 70s this morning in the Carolinas, so be aware of the mist and light breeze. The fog won't be too thick, but will affect the early morning commute around sunrise.
Highs will be cooler today, only reaching the mid-80s, but still very warm overall. Mostly cloudy skies will roll in as afternoon storms begin to develop.
We could see on and off showers and storms along and south of Interstate 40 this afternoon and evening. Storms will continue into tonight with warm temperatures.
As the wet weather subsides, overnight lows will drop into the upper 70s. However, moisture will continue to lock in the Carolinas as a stationary front lingers. Look for our upper 80s and afternoon storm pattern to continue through the weekend into early next week.
The chance of storms will continue through Wednesday with highs reaching 90 degrees. Another cold front is expected to keep the chance of storms going through next Wednesday.
Today: Sunny to cloudy with a chance of showers and storms in the afternoon! High: 87.
Tonight: Partly cloudy and warm. Low: 72.
