DENVER (KDVR) — More clouds will appear in the Mile High City and Front Range Friday, with scattered afternoon thunderstorms, according to the Denver weather forecast.

Friday will start out sunny, but clouds will remain throughout the day as highs reach 90 degrees.
Scattered storms are possible over the highlands in the afternoon, with stronger storms possible over the far eastern plains in the late afternoon.
Tonight's weather: mostly sunny
There will be more clouds in the sky early, with clear skies after midnight. If there is a breeze, overnight lows will drop into the low 60s.
Ahead: Cool weekend, storms linger
There will also be scattered storms Saturday afternoon with more clouds. High temperatures Saturday will be mild in the mid-80s.
Sunday will be “cool” as highs will only be in the mid-80s with partly cloudy skies and a chance of afternoon storms.
More sunshine is expected to start Monday, but storms are possible as highs remain below 80 degrees.
Temperatures will be a few degrees warmer on Tuesday, with highs in the mid-80s and a slight chance of storms.
Wednesday will be mostly sunny, with highs near seasonal averages (around 90 degrees). Thursday was another warm afternoon in Denver, with sunny skies and temperatures in the high 90s.
