A rare summer cool front and pattern change will bring a chance for rain next week in Texas. Scattered storms are expected today and Friday, but heavier rainfall is expected this weekend and into the first half of next week.
By Tuesday morning, east of the Concho Valley through the Hill Country, Central Texas, South Central Texas, North Texas, Texoma, Ac-La-Texa One to four inches of rain could fall across Texas, East Texas, Brazos Valley, and Southeast Texas. Rain is expected to continue across Southeast Texas on Tuesday and Wednesday, and some people may have to deal with flooding.
The threat of severe weather is low, but some storms may produce strong wind gusts and frequent lightning. We'll also see afternoon temperatures in the 80s to 90s instead of the 90s and upper 100s due to cloud cover and the chance of rain.
