A stalled cold front will continue to approach the Houston area this weekend, which will mean scattered showers and storms. The best chances are in the afternoon and evening. Rain will become more widespread next week, when the threat of flooding will begin to increase. Models show 3-6 inches of rain could fall by the middle of next week.
