While high temperatures will continue, it will be slightly cooler than the past three days. The National Weather Service (NWS) in Denver/Boulder has issued a forecast calling for scattered showers and storms in the afternoon and evening, possibly bringing winds up to 60 mph.
Today's high temperature will be around 96 degrees, with cloudy skies from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m., becoming cloudy by 11 a.m., according to the National Weather Service. Be prepared for the possibility of severe weather, including strong winds and heavy rain.
Temperatures will ease on Tuesday, with temperatures in the mid-80s and partly sunny. The cooling trend will continue Wednesday and Thursday, with highs of 85 and 88 degrees, respectively, under mostly sunny conditions.
As the week progresses, Denver will experience a mix of sunshine and clouds with temperatures fluctuating between the upper 80s and low 70s. By the weekend, highs will drop into the mid-70s, bringing some respite from the recent heat wave.
