National Grid thanks customers for their patience and support during last week's power outages caused by severe weather in upstate New York.
They said thousands of employees had restored service to some 213,567 customers affected by the weather.
State Grid expressed its understanding of the inconvenience caused to you by the prolonged power outage and issued a statement:
“Residential customers who experience an outage of more than 72 consecutive hours may be eligible for compensation for spoiled food and/or spoiled prescription drugs. Small commercial customers may also be eligible for compensation for spoiled food if they experience an outage of more than 72 consecutive hours. Claims must be filed in 2024 Submit before August 3rd.
