Syracuse, N.Y. (WSYR-TV)
Central New York will have scattered showers and storms throughout the remainder of Tuesday afternoon and into the evening. They may affect your late afternoon outdoor plans, but not everyone will get wet.
The biggest threat from these storms is heavy downpours. Despite the dry weather last week, flooding is possible in some areas due to the storm.
Some of these storms may have wind speeds as high as 40 mph. While this is not a strong wind, it could be strong enough to move deck furniture and blow down some small branches.
