As the monsoon floods the streets of Bengaluru, the city's traffic police have issued an alert to passengers, especially those traveling in the north of the city. A moderate to severe storm lashed parts of rural and urban Bengaluru and near Mysuru district on Monday night, crippling IT centers due to widespread waterlogging causing traffic congestion.
Bangaloreans stuck in severe traffic jams shared their experiences on various social media platforms, narrating how thunderstorms paralyzed the city for just a few hours, with respective posts from Karnataka on X Videos and latest news from the region.
According to IMD, localized heavy rain is likely to occur in Dakshina Kannada, Udupi and Uttara Kannada districts on August 6. Light to moderate rains are likely to occur in interior parts of Karnataka.
