Vice President Kamala Harris is doing her best to convince voters that she is not opposed to hydraulic fracturing (commonly known as fracking) for oil and gas. [emphasis, links added] That’s because, despite the media’s attempts to malign fracking, most people are smart enough to realize that fracking is critical to releasing hard-to-produce hydrocarbons, especially in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio, and in tight shales in other states. Most Americans are also probably aware that fracking is responsible for the huge increase in natural gas and oil production, [otherwise] Energy prices will rise higher and faster than during the Biden-Harris administration.…
If Kamala Harris is elected president on November 5, her Justice Department is expected to launch Green New Deal laws. [emphasis, links added] As in the final period of this election, Harris didn't talk much about the substance of her climate policies. but A review of her record shows she is willing to unleash power over energy providers to Justice Departmentand her notably silent allies on the climate left are optimistic she will do just that. Letting the Justice Department go easy on U.S. energy companies would mean plunging the country into the last century. Traditional energy sources are critical…
Author: Anthony Watts and H. Sterling Burnett A BBC article titled “Scientists are sure a warming world is making Spain's storms more intense” links recent flash floods in Spain to climate change. This is wrong. The data refutes claims that flooding in Europe is getting worse as a result of mildly warming temperatures. Furthermore, this story ignores Spain's long history of sometimes catastrophic flooding, since many of Spain's cities are located in narrow valleys. Dr Friederike Otto, co-director of World Weather Attribution (WWA), told the BBC: “There is no doubt that these heavy rains are exacerbated by climate change. “Every…
Voters who care about national security issues must also care about America's energy security. [emphasis, links added] Modern society cannot continue to function without abundant, affordable, and uninterrupted energy to power the technologies that make modern life possible. Whether you like it or not, it is an inevitable fact of life. No development this century has done more to improve U.S. energy security than the combination of hydraulic fracturing (or “fracking,” as it came to be known) and horizontal drilling. The combination of these two underappreciated drilling technologies allows U.S. drillers to extract oil and natural gas from vast shale…
A new congressional report from House Republicans claims the Biden-Harris administration funneled billions in taxpayer funds to “environmental justice” funding for political reasons. [emphasis, links added] The Republican-led House Energy and Commerce Committee released a staff report Monday outlining the allegations. “As part of its aggressive green agenda, the government has given hundreds of millions in taxpayer funds to activists who are also engaged in political activities, the lawmakers behind the report said in a joint statement. “Democrats in Congress mandated this, they forced a piece of legislation through that The aim is to get money out as quickly as possible,…
Climate change triples likelihood of wildfires in Canada in 2023, study finds » Yale Climate Connection
In 2023, huge wildfires occurred in Canada, Greece and the Amazon. Research shows that human-induced climate change and land-use changes significantly increase the likelihood of these record-setting fires. Human-caused climate change increased the likelihood of very dry, fire-prone conditions in the western Amazon last summer by at least 20 times, according to the first State of Wildfire report. Douglas Kelly of the UK Center for Ecology and Hydrology is one of the lead authors of the report. Kelly: “We had a pretty big drought in the western Amazon last year, which led to more fires in the rainforest.” In Canada,…
Jason Isaacs If Kamala Harris is elected president on November 5, her Justice Department is expected to launch Green New Deal laws. As with all final issues related to this election, Harris didn't say much about the substance of her climate policies. But a review of her record suggests she is willing to unleash the power of energy providers on the Justice Department, something her taciturn allies on the climate left are optimistic she will do. Letting the Justice Department go easy on U.S. energy companies would mean plunging the country into the last century. Conventional energy sources are critical…
not many people know Paul Homewood Another trillion or two! Although metal supply has grown over the past decade, Bloomberg New Energy Finance's (BNEF) annual Transition Metals Outlook finds that there are still not enough raw materials to meet growing demand. This supply squeeze could slow the adoption of clean energy technologies. To meet the needs of a net-zero emissions world, BNEF estimates that $2.1 trillion in new mining investment will be needed by 2050. The report indicates that key energy transition metals such as aluminum, copper and lithium could face deficits in primary supply this decade – some as…
from CFACT Author: Dr. Bonner Cohen The Biden-Harris administration's effort to designate more than 324,000 square miles as “critical habitat” for two species of Arctic seals was blocked by an Alaska federal court, which ruled that the designation, based largely on the future impacts of climate change, was blocked. is not feasible. In a Sept. 26 ruling, U.S. District Court Judge Sharon Gleason dealt a huge setback to the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), revoking the agency's 12-year ban on fishing in Bitexa. Efforts to develop oil and gas in larger areas of the state are simultaneously undermining the region's…
from masterresource By Robert Bradley Jr. — November 4, 2024 Editor's Note: The US election shows 1) the impotence of climate alarmism and 2) the bad experience with wind, solar and batteries, this is a timely repost from earlier this year. Update, replace Joe Biden with Kamala Harris. “The clean energy transition should happen, but reckless stupidity should increase Trump's chances of reelection!” (Robert Bibeau, Part 2) Robert Bibeau, a self-proclaimed environmental and energy analyst and observer, recently lamented Trump’s growing popularity relative to President Biden. He said: this new york times Polls show Trump leading in five battleground states.…
